Text Box: On 6/5/08 @ 07:06 Hrs. Police were on patrol when they observed a male Eddystone resident passed out in a pickup truck in the alleyway of the 1200 block of E. 12th St. The truck was running and the male was slumped over the wheel and sweating profusely. The male was checked and found to have numerous empty baggies on his lap. During a check of his person he was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine. He was arrested and charged with drug possession and DUI. Text Box: On 6/5/08 @ 11:15 Hrs. Police observed a female Eddystone resident walking around. The Officer was familiar with the female and knew that she had unpaid fines. She was placed under arrest for the warrants that were issued and owes Eddystone $2,500.00 in fines. She was remanded to the County Prison after failing to post the fine money. Text Box: On 6/6/08 @ 14:05 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart for a juvenile shoplifter in custody. The male was caught stealing $62.00 worth of merchandise. He was arrested and charged with retail theft through the Delaware County Juvenile Court due to it being his second offense. Text Box: On 6/6/08 @ 20:03 Hrs. Police were on patrol when they observed a van in the Shop Rite parking lot moving backwards with no one in the driver’s seat. Police observed a male stuck under the van being dragged. The van’s transmission failed and when the male tried to work on it the vehicle went into gear while he was underneath. He was transported to CCMC by Eddystone Ambulance. Text Box: On 6/7/08 @ 12:10 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart for a female shoplifter in custody. The female was observed resisting store security. She was caught stealing $861.00 worth of merchandise. A second actor fled the store and got away. The female was arrested and charged with retail theft and possessing drug paraphernalia. Text Box: On 6/7/08 @ 12:30 Hrs. Police were called to the McDonalds for a male sitting on ground with no pants on. The male was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested and charged with being under the influence. Text Box: On 6/7/08 @ 19:50 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a theft in progress. A male and a female were observed stealing $60.00 in merchandise and fleeing in a Ford Contour. They were apprehended in Ridley Park. The female was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine and needles. They were both arrested and charged with retail theft and drug possession. Text Box: On 6/7/08 @ 20:01 Hrs. Police were on patrol in the area of Chester Pike & Eddystone Ave. when they stopped a vehicle for a bad registration plate. The male driver was checked and subsequently arrested for possession cocaine. Text Box: On 6/8/08 @ 02:25 Hrs. Police were on patrol in the area of 9th & Saville Ave. A male Eddystone resident was observed driving a Chevy. The male was driving erratically on E. 9th St. and when it turned onto Saville Ave. it struck an Eddystone Police vehicle. The Officer was unable to get out of the car due to the doors being smashed in. The driver of the Chevy was arrested and charged with DUI and reckless endangerment and for not having vehicle insurance. Text Box: On 6/8/08 @ 18:39 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a shoplifter in custody. The female Chester resident was caught stealing $40.00 in merchandise. She was arrested and charged with retail theft. Due to it being her 3rd offense she was charged with a felony. Text Box: On 6/8/08 @ 22:00 Hrs. Police were on patrol in the area of the 1100 block of Chester Pike when they observed a vehicle traveling with an equipment violation. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Philadelphia. During a check he was found to be in possession of heroin. He was charged by the Eddystone Police for drug possession. Text Box: On 6/7/08 @ 13:45 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a female Norwood resident in custody for stealing $120.00 worth of merchandise. She was arrested and charged with retail theft.
