Text Box: On 2/15/10 @ 14:20 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a male juvenile shoplifter in custody. The male Ridley Park resident was observed stealing a $159.00 radar detector. He was arrested and charged with retail theft. A petition was filed against him in Juvenile Court.

Text Box: On 2/18/10 @ 20:36 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a female juvenile shoplifter in custody. The female Chester resident was observed stealing a $33.00 bathing suit. She was arrested and charged with retail theft. Text Box: On 2/25/10 @ 16:15 Hrs. Police were contacted from an Eddystone resident in regards to a theft. The female resident reported that her I-Pod touch, valued a $300.00, was stolen from her purse while she was at an event inside of Lighthouse Hall. Through a Police investigation it was found that the I-Pod was stolen by a juvenile female resident. The juvenile’s mother was advised and made restitution for the device. The victim was happy with the restitution and did not want to prosecute.

The vehicle was entered into the national database as being stolen. On 3/1/10 the vehicle was recovered by Philadelphia Police Dept. and an arrest was made on the male driving the vehicle.

She was highly intoxicated and placed under arrest for public drunkenness. During a check of her person Police found 4 plastic bags of suspected heroin. The female was also charged with drug possession.

Text Box: On 2/27/10 @ 16:56 Hrs. Police were on patrol in the 1100 block of Chester Pike when they observed a Chevy make a traffic infraction. The vehicle was stopped and during a further investigation there were some drug pipes found in the car. The male passenger was found to be in possession of several bags of suspected heroin. He was arrested and charged with drug possession. The female driver was cited for the violation and for having a drug pipe. Text Box: On 3/3/10 @ 14:20 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a male and female shoplifter in custody. The female Chester resident and male Philadelphia resident were both observed stealing $330.00 worth of over the counter medicine and DVD movies. The male was also in possession of a security decoding device. They were both arrested and charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy as well as possessing an instrument of crime.

Text Box: On 2/25/10 @ 16:30 Hrs. Police were called to the Shop Rite market for a female shoplifter in custody. The female Essington resident was observed stealing $50.00 worth of food items. She was arrested and charged with retail theft. Text Box: On 3/1/10 @ 09:10 Hrs. Police were called to the Eddystone Elementary School for a theft report. The school reported that there was a female walking around in the school who they thought dropped off a student. The found her wandering around an office and later discovered that she stole $38.00 from a change jar, $87.00 from someone’s purse and $75.00 pair of earphones. During an investigation Police found that the female later turned in the change at Beneficial Bank and a photo was obtained. Through further investigation Police found that the female was a student at Chester High School. She was arrested and charged with theft, trespassing and receiving stolen property.

Text Box: On 2/26/10 @ 17:56 Hrs. Police received a call to respond to the McDonald’s parking lot for a male sitting in the snow slobbering all over himself. When Police arrived the male was found to be highly intoxicated and disturbing customers. He was arrested and charged with public drunkenness. Text Box: On 3/6/10 @ 01:08 Hrs. Police were called to the 1000 block of Leiper St. for a building fire. When Police arrived they found smoke showing as well as visible fire in the basement. Everyone was removed from the residence as well as the neighbors. The Fire Dept. responded and was able to put the fire out quickly before there was any extensive damage. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
