Text Box: On 10/18/08 @ 03:10 Hrs. Police were on patrol in the 1100 block of E. 9th St. when they observed a male Eddystone resident who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The Toll St. resident was arrested and later turned over to Upper Chichester Police Department. The male was wanted for committing three burglaries in Upper Chichester.

Text Box: On 10/18/08 @ 21:15 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a male shoplifter in custody. The male Upper Chichester resident was observed stealing $132.00 worth of merchandise. He was arrested and charged with retail theft. 
Text Box: On 10/25/08 @ 12:30 hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart for a male shoplifter in custody. The male Wallingford resident was observed going up to the self checkout and only scanning a few items. He left the store without scanning everything he had in his possession. The male stole $170.00 worth of electronics. He was arrested and charged with retail theft. 
Text Box: On 10/19/08 @ 01:05 Hrs. Police received a call to be on the look out for a white vehicle that just left the Denny’s restaurant in Tinicum Twp. Two males in the vehicle left without paying for their food and fled the area. Eddystone Police observed the vehicle traveling on SR 291. A vehicle stop was conducted and Tinicum Twp. P.D. were notified. They responded and after an identification was made two males were arrested by them and charged with theft of services. 
Text Box: On 10/19/08 @ 14:15 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart for a male shoplifter in custody. The male Crum Lynne resident was observed stealing $71.00 worth of electronics. He was arrested and charged with retail theft. 
Text Box: On 10/19/08 @ 13:29 Hrs. Police were called to a building fire in the 1100 block of E. 11th St. Upon arrival Police observed a window frame on fire in the rear of the residence. The origin of the fire was considered suspicious and is currently under investigation. 
Text Box: On 10/24/08 @ 21:10 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store for a male and female shoplifter in custody. Both Chester residents were observed stealing $52.00 worth of DVD movies. They were both arrested and charged with retail theft. 
Text Box: On 10/25/08 @ 01:28 hrs. Police were on patrol on Industrial Hwy. when they observed a Hyundai traveling at a high rate of speed towards the City of Chester. The vehicle was clocked at 80 mph. A vehicle stop was conducted and the male operator was found to be under the influence of alcohol. After failing sobriety tests he was placed under arrest and charged with DUI. The male Delaware resident blew a .138 on the intoximeter. 
Text Box: On 10/26/08 @ 15:52 Hrs. Police received a call to respond to the St. James Alumni Assn. on E. 9th St. for a hit and run that occurred. They reported that a vehicle struck a pole on their property and left the scene. Police observed a vehicle fitting that description driving earlier on Ashland Ave. When they went to the 700 block of Ashland Ave. they found the vehicle there with damage to it. The owner was found to be an Eddystone resident and agreed to make restitution for the damages. He was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident. 
Text Box: On 10/25/08 @ 14:45 Hrs. Police were called to the Wal-Mart for a female shoplifter in custody. The female Delaware resident was observed stealing $101.00 worth of baby clothes. She placed the items into her baby stroller with her three month old child inside. She was arrested and charged with retail theft. 
Text Box: On 10/25/08 @ 21:26 Hrs. Police received a call for a Dodge Neon traveling on 9th St. with the passenger side door open. Police observed the vehicle driving all over the roadway. A vehicle stop was conducted and the male was found to be highly intoxicated and driving on a suspended license. The male Chester resident was arrested and charged with DUI. The vehicle was later found to be stolen from a auto repair shop. The driver was also charged with receiving stolen property. 
Text Box: On 10/22/08 @ 15:37 Hrs. Police were on patrol in the 1100 block of Chester Pike when they observed a male and female in a vehicle who had outstanding warrants on them. A vehicle stop was conducted and the male and female were arrested. They were later turned over to Darby Twp.  Police Department for the outstanding warrants.
